چکیده
Introduction Prompted by the increasing need for an intensified valorization of agri-food waste, in this work a three-step chemical procedure was used to extract high-purity cellulose from garlic stalk, corncob, and giant cane cut-up sequential removal hemicellulose, lignin, ash, organic compounds. Cellulose nanocrystals potential interest nanocomposite applications were then obtained through acid hydrolysis. Methods The purity determined employing Nuclear Magnetic Resonance infrared spectroscopy, whereas dynamic light scattering, optical, atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy morphological characterization. high crystallinity confirmed comparison with ultra-pure bacterial originating K. sucrofermentans , irrespective waste used. Results discussion At end extraction procedure, yields 35.73, 37.15, 39.10%, cut-up, respectively, achieved. Dynamic scattering analyses showed that length whisker-like depended on raw material (from ~100 nm up > 2μm), while final yield ~40–50% all three wastes. versatility effectiveness method here proposed can be profitably wide range agro-waste feedstocks.

متن کاملLuffa Cylindrica as a Lignocellulosic Source of Fiber, Microfibrillated Cellulose, and Cellulose Nanocrystals
In this work the annual plant called Luffa cylindrica (LC) has been characterized and used to prepare macroscopic lignocellulosic fibers and cellulosic nanoparticles, viz. microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) and whiskers, each of which can be used as a reinforcing phase in bionanocomposites. The morphological, chemical, and physical properties of LC fibers were first characterized. The contents of...

One of the main issues of nanotechnology is producing materials with new properties. Nanotechnology, as a powerful tool, has the ability to create evolution in the agricultural system and food–medicinal industries across the world. Producing a high-performance material from reclaimed cellulose material will increase motivation to recycle these materials at all phases of paper production and rem...
متن کاملPhotoresponsive Cellulose Nanocrystals
In this communication a method for the creation of fluorescent cellulose nanoparticles using click chemistry and subsequent photodimerization of the installed side‐ chains is demonstrated. In the first step, the primary hydroxyl groups on the surface of the CNCs were converted to carboxylic acids by using TEMPO‐mediated hypohalite oxidation. The alkyne groups, essent...
